GSS Drilling is core to the geothermal experience. GSS Drilling provides the ground loops necessary to draw heat from the earth, or, in summer, displace heat from your home or business back into the earth. GSS Drilling uses the latest drilling technology, the Sonic Drill, as its main drilling tool. The Sonic Drill is able to vertically drill through virtually any soil condition and takes considerably less time to drill than older conventional drills. You can always be sure that the vertical holes are drilled to the required depth which ensures the geothermal system ultimately works as it was designed. There is no possibility of holes collapsing before the ground loops are inserted as the Sonic Drill can "case" at the same time as drilling the hole. Unstable soil can collapse in non cased holes and cause extended drilling times, which ultimately makes the project more expensive and time consuming, or may result in holes not deep enough for the required ground loops which are the "heart" of the geothermal system. With improper ground loops, the efficiency of the heat pump is diminished and may not allow for proper heating during those cold times when you really need it.
GSS Drilling is closely affiliated with GSS Geothermal and together they can coordinate a convienient and timely installation of your new geothermal heating and cooling system.
