ecoEnergy Retrofit Home Grants
- You can apply for a $4375 grant simply by retrofiting your home with a geothermal system.
- The ecoEnergy Retrofit Home Grants program is run by Natural Resources Canada. It is offered to homeowners who retrofit their properties to make them more energy efficient.
- The amount of the ecoEnergy Retrofit Home Grant is dependant on the improvements made by the homeowner in the 18 months between the pre-retrofit evaluation and post-retrofit evaluation.

TD Green Mortgage
- TD is offering a Green Mortgage option until September 30, 2009.
- The Green Mortgage allows you to recieve a rebate of up to 1.5% of the mortgage when you purchase Energy Star qualified products.

ecoEnergy Evaluation - AmeriSpec, Inc
- The ecoEnergy evaluation is a 2-part process. For the first part we spend approximately 2 hours at the home gathering information and conducting a blower door test.
- We provide the client with a report outlining suggested energy upgrades. The client has 18 months to complete the upgrades (their choice as to which ones they do)!
- We then return to the home (they have to call to book and appointment) we verify the upgrades and conduct another blower door test and fill out the appropriate application form for them and submit it to the government for payment.
- The cost of the 1st evaluation is $299 plus GST. The second evaluation is $149 plus GST. Travel charges apply if properties are more than 40km from our office.
- All charges are due and payable at the time of the inspections. No data from the evaluations is provided to 3rd parties other than Natural Resources Canada.
